RICHMOND, Va. – All Points Broadband, Dominion Energy, and King William County announced today that All Points has received $1.5 million in federal funding to support construction of the first phase of All Points’ planned fiber-to-the-home network in King William, and that they have entered into a related Memorandum of Understanding to deliver broadband access to currently unserved locations in the County.
“Today’s announcement is another milestone in our ongoing effort to help extend broadband access to unserved Virginians,” said Ed Baine, president of Dominion Energy Virginia. “We are committed to improving the quality of life and economic prosperity in the communities we serve and are excited to add another County and more unserved areas to our growing partnership with All Points.”

“Last September, King William engaged All Points as its broadband deployment partner with a mandate to make real progress,” said Jimmy Carr, CEO of All Points. “In less than 5 months we have developed network plans and secured federal funding to extend fiber-to-the-home broadband to the 900 homes and businesses in the first phase of our plan for King William. Over the next few months we plan to engage additional partners to help expand our project footprint.”

Under the agreement, All Points and Dominion Energy will work together to finalize a network plan to be submitted to the State Corporation Commission for approval.
