Questions about Home Phone

Yes! After signing up for phone service, send a recent copy of your current phone bill to [email protected]. Number transfers (porting) can take up to 10 business days, so we recommend submitting your request early so it doesn’t delay your installation.

Most standard home phones are compatible. The equipment we provide uses a standard RJ-11 connector, which works with the majority of traditional landline handsets. If you’re unsure about your specific phone, our support team can help confirm compatibility before or after your installation.

Since the phone service runs through your internet connection’s ONT, it requires electricity to function. All Points Broadband offers battery backup solutions that can keep your equipment — and your phone — working during a power outage. Ask our team about adding a battery backup to your plan for extra peace of mind.

All Points Broadband uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), which transmits your calls digitally over your broadband connection rather than through traditional copper phone lines. This delivers crystal-clear audio quality. Because VoIP depends on both power and an active internet connection, we recommend adding a battery backup to your router to stay connected during outages.
