HANOVER COUNTY, Va. – Hanover County, All Points Broadband, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative and Dominion Energy Virginia held a groundbreaking ceremony for a fiber-to-the-home broadband project that will deliver service to approximately 6200 unserved homes and businesses in Hanover County. Hanover County is the ninth Virginia county where All Points Broadband has construction underway or completed through public-private partnerships and partnership with Dominion Energy Virginia. The Hanover project is funded through investments by Hanover County, the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Virginia Telecommunications Initiative, All Points Broadband, and Dominion Energy Virginia.
“High-speed internet is as essential as electricity for work, school and staying connected,” said Susan P. Dibble, Chair of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors. “This project is about making sure every family and business in our community can get the reliable service they need to keep up in today’s world. We’re committed to closing that gap and bringing folks the connectivity they deserve.”
